How do we do it?
We use an Information of Things (IoT) technology called LoRaWAN. It allows battery sensors to send data over many kilometres and through challenging environments - even areas where mobiles will not work.
This is a key point - this technology is not based on mobile phones or wifi. Coverage can be far greater than what you might expect as this signal can travel further and through challenging materials.
